Yearly revenue report

Revenue

Twelve calendar months of gross, refunds, net and buyers, plus revenue by package, counted once per purchase.

The clip shows, in order:

  1. Completed store purchases over time.
  2. Revenue by package, with purchases and buyers.
  3. Share of revenue and change vs before.

#One purchase, one count

MCAnalytics counts each purchase once, whatever number of servers the package it bought grants on. A rank sold once and applied on four backends is one payment, so it is one row and one amount here.

The Tebex statistics page does not read that way. It counts the same purchase again for every server the package targets, so a network selling cross server packages sees a larger figure there than it was ever paid. Tebex also has no yearly total at all, which is why this report exists.

The report is built from the purchases the Tebex webhook delivered to your network, so it agrees with the ledger on the Revenue page rather than with any other tool.

Read the net column, not the gross one
Gross is what was charged. Net is what you kept after refunds and chargebacks, and that is the number to compare between months.

#What each column means

Months are calendar months in UTC. A purchase belongs to the month its payment was recorded in, so a sale at 23:30 UTC on the last of the month stays in that month wherever the buyer lives.

ColumnWhat it counts
GrossCompleted purchases in that month
RefundsRefunds and chargebacks in that month, with their count
NetGross less refunds, which is money you kept
PurchasesCompleted purchases in that month
BuyersDistinct players matched to a completed purchase that month
First time buyersPlayers whose first completed purchase ever landed that month
Average orderGross over purchases in that month

#Revenue by package

The Packages card follows the range picker at the top of the page, not the report year. It groups completed purchases by the package name Tebex sent, and shows revenue, share of revenue, purchases, buyers, refunds, and the change against the range of equal length before it.

First purchase share is how often a package was a buyer's very first purchase on your network. It is read over matched purchases only, because an unmatched purchase has no player behind it and so can never be anybody's first. A package with a high first purchase share is the door people come in through, whatever it earns.

#More than one currency

Amounts are never converted. If your store has charged in more than one currency, the report splits into one table per currency and each one adds up on its own.

Nothing on this page mixes two currencies into one figure, because a total that added dollars to euros would be a number nobody was ever charged.

#Downloading the year

Download CSV hands you the same twelve rows the table shows, one line per month per currency, with amounts in cents. Any member of the network can take it. The file is streamed, so a long history does not have to be held in memory before it starts.
