Comparison

MCAnalytics vs McStats

McStats is a hosted analytics service for Paper and Folia servers, with a Velocity build for networks. It collects a lot: joins, sessions, retention, TPS and MSPT percentiles, garbage collection, world heatmaps, economy, combat and your own custom events, and on paid plans it credits Tebex and PayNow purchases to the address a buyer first joined through. As of September 2026 it is free on one server with 14 days of history, and it has a live demo. MCAnalytics does less and puts the proxy at the centre, Velocity or BungeeCord: it records join addresses and sessions there, keeps premium Java, cracked Java and Bedrock apart, shows a 7-day return rate and Tebex revenue for every address on every plan, and reports confirmed cheat bans by source, with history kept for as long as the network is connected.

Where McStats is the better pick

  • You want a free plan without asking anyone. McStats is free on one server with 14 days of history; the MCAnalytics free plan covers up to 50 players, with no card and no request.
  • You want deep performance data: MSPT percentiles, garbage collection pauses, lag spikes and per-world load, down to five-second chart intervals on paid plans.
  • You want gameplay data beyond heatmaps and custom events: Vault economy balances, combat and commands.
  • You run Folia. McStats documents how each of its metrics reads on Folia regions.
  • You sell through PayNow as well as Tebex.
  • You want to try it on one server for free. McStats is free on one server with 14 days of history; MCAnalytics has a live demo on sample data and a $1 first month instead.

Where MCAnalytics is the better pick

  • Your network runs behind Velocity or BungeeCord and you want the proxy to be the one record of join addresses and sessions.
  • You sell through CraftingStore, your own PayPal or Stripe, or more than one store. MCAnalytics takes those next to Tebex.
  • You have cracked Java players or run nLogin. Identity types stay apart, and only a confirmed login counts as a return.
  • You want revenue by join address from the start, on the free Community plan too, not only on paid plans.
  • You want history that no plan trims. MCAnalytics keeps sessions, sources and purchases for as long as the network is connected.
  • Chargebacks matter to your numbers. MCAnalytics takes them off the credited revenue along with refunds.
  • You want confirmed GrimAC and Polar bans by source, to see which campaigns bring cheaters.

Questions

Is McStats free?

Yes, on one server with 14 days of history, as of September 2026. Revenue attribution, the performance suite and custom events start at Pro, $6.99 a month.

Do both tools credit purchases to a join address?

Yes. McStats matches buyers to the hostname they first joined through for its revenue by ad slot table. MCAnalytics credits each purchase to the buyer's first join address and shows it next to that address's first joins and 7-day returns.

How do the plan limits differ?

McStats counts servers: each backend with the plugin uses a slot, and the proxy does not. MCAnalytics counts peak concurrent players and allows any number of backend servers.

Can I self-host either one?

No. Both are hosted services. If self-hosting is a must, Plan (Player Analytics) is free and runs on your own machine.
