Comparison
MCAnalytics vs Analyse
Analyse and MCAnalytics answer the same core question: which address brought a player, did they come back, and what did they spend in Tebex. Both are hosted, both give each creator or campaign its own subdomain, and both show Day 1, Day 7 and Day 30 retention. As of September 2026 Analyse covers more ground: Minecraft and Hytale, Spigot and Folia, custom events, funnels, A/B tests, an AI chat and custom dashboards, with unlimited players listed on every paid plan. MCAnalytics does less and is built around a proxy network: the Velocity or BungeeCord connector records every player once, keeps premium Java, cracked Java and Bedrock apart, matches Tebex purchases on the buyer's premium UUID only, and reports confirmed cheat bans by source.
Side by side
| Topic | MCAnalytics | Analyse |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting | Hosted dashboard, connector on your servers. | Hosted dashboard, plugin on your servers. |
| Server software | Velocity, BungeeCord and Waterfall proxies, and Paper, Purpur, Folia and Spigot servers. | Paper, Spigot, Purpur and Folia, Velocity and BungeeCord through a proxy plugin, and Hytale. |
| Where the plugin goes on a network | On the Velocity or BungeeCord proxy, which records join addresses and sessions for the whole network. Paper connectors are optional, for health, bans and login confirmation. | On each backend server, as their recommended setup. Proxy-only is a fallback that does not see in-game events. |
| Join addresses | Unlimited. A new address shows up on its own after its first join. | Unlimited tracking subdomains, after a TXT record proves you own the root domain. |
| Attribution | First join address, kept for the life of the player. | First-touch: a player keeps the campaign they first joined through. |
| Tebex matching | On the buyer's premium UUID only. Usernames are never used. | On the Minecraft username on the purchase, case-insensitive. |
| Refunds and chargebacks | Taken off the credited revenue. | Taken off the revenue. |
| Other stores | CraftingStore, your own PayPal and your own Stripe, each on its own signed webhook, and more than one Tebex store. Money from elsewhere can still be typed in by hand. | CraftingStore and signed custom webhooks. |
| Retention | A 7-day return rate for every join address, and Day 1, Day 7 and Day 30 on the Retention page, where Day 7 is the seventh day only. Open windows read Pending, not 0%. Cohort tables by day, week or month and a churn risk list with reasons are on Network and up. | Day 1, Day 7 and Day 30, where Day 7 means a return at any point within 7 days. Split by campaign, platform, domain or server. |
| Cracked Java players | Their own identity type, never merged by username. With nLogin, only a confirmed login counts as a return. | Not listed |
| Bedrock players | Matched on the Floodgate XUID and kept apart from Java. | Detected by the Geyser or Floodgate name prefix. Linked Java and Bedrock accounts show as one player. |
| Anti-cheat bans by source | Confirmed GrimAC and Polar bans per join address, with bans per 100 new players, from the Network plan up. | Not listed |
| Custom events, funnels, A/B tests | Custom events from a Java call or over HTTP, with props and a funnel of 2 to 4 events, on Network and up. No A/B tests. Each address also gets a fixed funnel: first joins, qualified, returned within 7 days, bought within 30 days. | All three, plus a Java SDK. |
| AI chat and custom dashboards | Not offered. | AI chat with a daily query limit per plan. Custom dashboards on Enterprise. |
| Plan limits | By peak concurrent players: under 50 free, 100 on Starter, 250 on Network, no cap on Unlimited. | Unlimited players on every paid plan shown. Servers limited per plan: 2 on Starter, 10 on Pro. |
| History kept | Kept for as long as the network stays connected. No plan trims it. | 90 days on Starter. Unlimited on Pro and Enterprise. |
Where Analyse is the better pick
- You also run Hytale. MCAnalytics is for Minecraft only: Velocity, BungeeCord and Waterfall proxies, and Paper, Purpur, Folia and Spigot servers.
- You want to A/B test spawns and starter kits. Analyse has A/B tests next to custom events and funnels, and a Java SDK. MCAnalytics has no A/B tests.
- You want to ask your stats questions in plain English, or build dashboards from widgets. Neither exists in MCAnalytics.
- Your own checkout sends signed custom webhooks. Analyse takes those. MCAnalytics takes Tebex, CraftingStore, PayPal and Stripe.
- Your peak is high and your budget is small. Every paid Analyse plan shown lists unlimited players, and on yearly billing Pro works out at $4.99 a month.
- You want a free trial period. Analyse has a 14-day trial on Starter; MCAnalytics has a live demo on sample data and a $1 first month instead.
Where MCAnalytics is the better pick
- You run a Velocity or BungeeCord network and want each player counted once at the proxy, without a plugin on every backend for join addresses and sessions.
- You have cracked Java players. They are their own identity type, and on a network with nLogin a failed login never counts as a return.
- You want Tebex revenue matched on the premium UUID only, so a reused name can never move money to the wrong player or source.
- You want to see which creators and lists bring cheaters: confirmed GrimAC and Polar bans by source, from the Network plan up.
- You want the two retention questions kept apart: a 7-day return rate to judge sources, and Day 1, Day 7 and Day 30 as single days, with open windows shown as Pending.
- Your network is up to 50 concurrent players. The free plan needs no card, and history is kept for as long as you stay connected.

Questions
Do Analyse and MCAnalytics measure the same thing?
The core is the same: the address a player first joined through, whether they came back, and what they spent in Tebex. They differ in where the plugin runs, how players and purchases are matched, and how much else each product does.
Why can Day 7 retention differ between the two?
They define it differently. As of September 2026, Analyse's retention docs count a return at any point within 7 days of the first session. The MCAnalytics Retention page counts a session on the seventh day only, and the within 7 days figure is the separate 7-day return rate on Overview and Growth.
Does MCAnalytics support Hytale, BungeeCord and Spigot?
BungeeCord, Waterfall and Spigot, yes: the connector runs on those proxies as well as Velocity, and on Paper, Purpur, Folia and Spigot. Hytale, no. If you need it, Analyse covers it.
Which one costs less?
It depends on your peak. Billed monthly, MCAnalytics Starter is $4.99 a month and Analyse Starter is $7.99 a month. Analyse lists unlimited players with 2 servers; MCAnalytics caps Starter at 100 concurrent players with any number of backends. On yearly billing Analyse Starter and Pro both work out at $4.99 a month, and MCAnalytics has a $1 first month and a free plan under 50 players.
