Minecraft vote tracking and what voters do next

MCAnalytics counts the votes that server lists send to your server through NuVotifier or Votifier, per site and per day. Each vote is matched to a player by premium UUID, Bedrock XUID or cracked UUID, never by name alone. The Votes page then shows the top voting sites, the top voters and their streaks, and vote ROI: the share of each site's voters who came back between Day 1 and Day 7 after their first vote, and what they bought, set against players who did not vote. It shows what voters did next. It does not prove the vote caused it.

Sample data: the Votes page on the MCAnalytics demo, with votes per day for each voting site, the top sites, and back by Day 7 and revenue for each site's voters

How it works

  1. Install NuVotifier where votes arrive

Put it on the Velocity proxy, or on each Paper server if you run without a proxy. Run connector 1.0.15 or newer. There is nothing to switch on in MCAnalytics.

  2. The connector reports each vote

It sends the site name, the player name, the player's UUID when the server knows it, and the time. The IP address a voting site sends is never sent on.

  3. A vote finds its player by ID

A vote with a UUID or XUID lands on that player. A vote with no match stays in Unmatched, still counted for its site, and joins its player later if the UUID arrives.

  4. Read each site against players who did not vote

Vote ROI compares the voters of each site with players who played in the same window and did not vote, on the same return rule.

What you see on the dashboard

  • Votes per day and per site

A line for each voting site over the range, and a table of the top sites with their votes and voters.

  • Top voters and streaks

Who votes most, and how many days in a row, so you can thank the regulars by name.

  • Unmatched votes

Votes for a name no player matched are listed with the name that came in. They are never guessed onto someone.

  • Back by Day 7 and revenue

For each site: the share of its voters who returned between Day 1 and Day 7, and the store revenue from them, next to players who did not vote. A site needs 20 voters before it shows a number.

What vote ROI does not say

Players who vote are often your most loyal players already, so a high number for a site may be about who votes and not about the site. Read it as a way to compare sites, not as proof that a vote brings someone back.

A purchase is credited to the site of the buyer's most recent vote, if that vote came no more than 30 days before it. One purchase goes to one site, so the sites add up.

Questions

Which vote plugins does it read?

NuVotifier on Velocity or on Paper, and the classic Votifier plugin on Paper. If both a proxy and its backends run NuVotifier and report the same vote, it is counted once.

Can a typo in a name put a vote on the wrong player?

No. A vote is matched by premium UUID, Bedrock XUID or cracked UUID, never by name alone. A vote that matches nobody stays unmatched.

Which plans include the Votes page?

Network and up. Votes are recorded on every active plan, so after an upgrade the page shows the votes you already had.

Is the voter's IP address stored?

No. The connector never sends the IP address a voting site delivers with a vote.
